I saw Val Yippi

Tuesday 14th

I had lunch with Val today, I haven't seen her for ever such a long time, I'm sorry I ever said "she only had to ring if she had any news" I didn’t mean it like that I just didn’t want her to feel obliged to keep ringing me if she didn’t want too. I really do miss Val.

I took Val to Mikey's and showed her the jewellery she liked it as well and said it would look lovely with my dress.

I must get hold of Gem and ask her what she thinks of them.

Shopping

On Saturday I took Kaitlyn over to Liverpool just to change a pair of shorts. Yes you've guessed it, I didn't just do that Kuwe had a ride on the tea cups in Clayton Square, we had a look in the Orange shop (they have this dead cute little pink phone). I did nearly buy it but the assistant kept insisting I buy a £10 sim card as well. I don't need a new sim or phone really I just wanted a back phone if I was unsure of the area I was going too, or if I am going to do something where I might loose my phone, like the run in September.

We had a nosey around town for a while, had lunch in the Welkin and then we went and strutted our stuff around the Metquarter. Kaitlyn is 8 and she loved the designer shops and the stuff they sell till I showed her the price of some of the things (kids grow up so fast these days).

There is a shop in there called Mikey that sells jewellery and things. I found a really nice necklace it ONLY cost £45, there is also a bracelet and a ring to match. After a discussion we decided that it would be nice for Gemma's wedding but I would have to have Gemma's OK for it. I mean to say, I can't out do the bride now can I?

I really enjoyed shopping with Kaitlyn; I will have to take her again some time.

[ [ [ g y m o p h o b i c s ] ] ]

Well you all know that Garry has has been buying us gym equipment for the house. We have had to move from the back room into the front room now because the gym just keeps getting bigger.

I have my brilliant treadmill in the window so I can watch what's going on outside pity I cant see past the gate ;-(. I try and do 3.1 miles a day ready for Septembers race.

I have now joined an outside gym for the company as well. It's called Gymophobics and it's in Birkenhead, up loads of steps so you get a workout just getting in. The staff our brilliant, they keep telling me I a am causing trouble ME!!! would I do that.

The machines there are great they don't use weights like in a normal gym or at home, they use air pressure. So the only hard thing you have to do is press a button to get to the right weight. SUPER.

After I have spent my 30mins yes 30mins doing my workout I feel pumped ready to do more so in the afternoons when I go I have started to meet Garry after work and walk home with him.

When you have picked yourselves up off the floor I did say walk I even walk to his place and meet him from work first. No bus, or taxi; if this keeps up on the taxi firms are going to go bust.
When Gemma did her race for life Garry and I walked home from Birkenhead Park I moaned all the way home from Duke Street Bridge.
last Tuesday Garry and I walked to our Pam's it took us 45 minuets and I didn't even feel the hill by the tunnel entrance and I didn't moan once.

I have been a member of Gymophobics for a couple if weeks now and on Thursday I got weighed again and I had lost a 1lb or .5kl in one week that makes me feel really good I must be doing something right at last.

Why not have a look for yourselves at the gym girls (no boys allowed) their web address is

My 1st 5K Run

Well I have really gone and done it now!!!

Soft Ollie's here has only gone and sighed up to run in the Woman's 5Km Hydro run at Sefton Park on 16th September, (that's a Sunday, you know the lying in day don't have visitors. don't answer the door and maybe answer the phone) in the morning like early before noon!!! I can't even take my quite Garry wont let me.

I am running on behalf of a charity called Make a Wish Foundation UK,

Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. This year the charity is celebrating 21 years of wish granting. Make-A-Wish was founded in the UK in June 1986 and, since then, they have granted over 4,400 wishes. At any given time, over 20,000 children in the UK are living with life-threatening conditions and their aim is to grant 21 wishes a week by the year 2010. Whether a wish is to be a princess or a policeman for a day, own the latest computer equipment, meet a favourite celebrity or just enjoy some special time away from home with their family, a wish come true brings so much to a child's life and provides memories for the family that last a lifetime.

Well just below in a pretty link to a very nice web site called justgiving.com, this is where you will go and sponsor me WONT YOU

See it even tells you how much sponsorship I have raised.

I've been bugged

Well since I last wrote my weight has decide it doesn't want to go down; oh no, it wants to play see saw Marjory door. The thin lady in me is screaming let me out of here but the fat one says no its still my turn to play. Well I have decided it is time to stop playing silly children games and get down to the really hard work .

For my Birthday Garry got me a years subscription to FITBUG. Well that bug goes every where with me, his name is Borris and he likes it best when Garry is not around so we can have a rest.

Borris connects to his big house via USB and uploads all his information he has gathered for the day, which include; ordinary steps, aerobic steps, kcals used and distance traveled.

I have type in what I have eaten and the programme works out how good you are been with you intake compared to what you burned. Each week you get a personal newsletter from FITBUG and give you a new goal to reach for the next week.

Week 1 you do and eat the same as normal and fill in the data.
Week 2 is when you have to start to work. Due to Garry taking me on a million mile walk yesterday the FITBUG people think I can do lots of exercise now, thanks Garry!!!This week I have to reach 14200 regular steps of which 6600have to be aerobic steps. (does anybody want to wear my bug for the day but don't tell Garry I asked he'd only say no you can't).

I'm getting muscles on my arms now as well. Better not make me angry, so not eating any Crispy Duck around me, the tyrant wont let me have any.

Going now to chew on a carrot :-(
