My Dress and Stuff

My Jewellery
Well just before Christmas the Cliff Richard Fan Club sent me a link to their site for a new jewellery collection from the great man.

So I hot moused it over there and guess what the gems match the colours for Gemma's wedding supper.

The blurb says

Diamonds are represented by crystal, freshwater pearls symbolise the moonlight, and they are threaded with midnight blue iolite, sometimes known as water sapphire. They sparkle just like Midnight Diamonds! With matching drop earrings.

The pearls are the ivory coloured ones so everything is fitting in to place at the moment.

The Dress

Next my I had a phone call to say my dress had arrived. I am so excited. I rang Gemma straight away to see if she wanted to come with me for my 1st fitting.

We did that 2 weeks ago

I had lost more inches from when I ordered it so I must be doing something right somewhere.

After the dress we had lunch and then went to have a look at shoes. We found a beautiful pair that I could have worn all day (well may be not all day but while my feet where in view of people); but they cost £86!!!

They where gorgeous but just too expensive to buy for one day. (I’ll have to wait and see what Evans gets in and hope they have ivory shoes for the summer).

The Hair

I have to do something about my hair it's getting longer, it needs the clever hands of Stu to make it a nice red colour again. Whatever colour I do it now it will stay that colour for the wedding so my fascinator will look good in it. I will go and see the lady in Maghull her was very nice. I think Gemma said I was having my hair down as normally it is up.

I wonder how grey it would go if I left it till April? Gemma might disown me but I might just give it a go or untill I get scared of the colour

The GYM

I joined Gymophobics in July last year.

It is a gym for women only.

Instead of using the regular weights equipment it uses air pressure to add resistance to
the machines.

You have 3 minutes on each piece of equipment and there are 10 stages so you only exercise for 30 minutes a day.

In the gym they try to make you feel relaxed and you are not pressured into being the best on the circuit or the best dressed. You are not made to feel bad about how much weight you've put on or put on a pedestal for the weight that you have lost women here are all treated as equals. It is a fun and pleasant place to go to exercise and to relax, make new friends and get healthy; in a way that suits YOU. Gymophobics have women of all shapes and sizes, young and not so young, that is the beauty of the place they look after you and monitor your health as well. WHAT COULD BE BETTER

I haven't been able to go to the gym since the end of October due to my very high blood pressure.
I am hoping to get the all clear soon and when I do I will ask if I can start the programme again as if I where a new client.
I will have my weight taken and my BP read but I know that will be fairly OK or Dr J wouldn't let me go back. I can't wait I really miss going and meeting people.

The stretch machine is my favourite piece of equipment and the one thing I have really missed since I have stopped going to Gymophobics my back has been crying out to be stretched.
Falling down the stairs twice and hurting my back again doesn't help. What I wouldn't give for a dose of traction at the moment. That would sort my back out nicely. ;-)

I'm back

Me warming up

Gemma told me off the other day for not posting anything. She was quite right too.

I get a bit down in the winter and things get really hard for me.

I did the run, didn't really want too my auntie passed away on the Friday before but I did it for her in a way.

Gemma and her freinds walked and so did I and do you know what they only finished 8 yes 8 minutes a head of me. Who knows if I hadn't slowed down to talk to people on the way I might have passed them teehee.

This is us at the end don't we look like a lovely mum and daughter group?

Well since then I haven't really done much I have lost someone or been to a funeral every week during September and October. So I suppose it is a bit understandable why I'm down a bit.

Walking Again?????

Well will you look at that there's me doing that walking thing again!!! I’m feeling a little bit ill at the moment.

Garry and I set out at 8 this morning to go to Sefton Park to walk the route and see how long it would take us to get there: unfortunately the rain was precipitating in Liverpool when we got out of Central Station.

We had a little discussion park or home?
Errr lets see rainy park or dry home, home I think. So we turned around and went back into the station and got the next New Brighton Train.

Now how many of you thought I would say we got off the train and straight on to a bus? Doubting Thomas’s all of you; I suggested we walk home from Wallasey Village train station. It took us 51mins I am really proud of that. I had to walk up part of St Hilary’s Brow that’s a big hill.

Don’t I look smart in my Make-A-Wish t-shirt and hat?

15 Days to go

This time on the 16th September I will have finished my 5Km run thingy and be fast a sleep in bed. Maybe.

I walked from Seacomb Ferry to New Brighton Lifeboat Station today and it took me 67 minutes. I am going to have to improve on that.

Garry and I are going to Sefton Park again tomorrow to see how long it takes us to get there and and how long it takes me to walk the course.

I must remember not to hold his hand because I wont be holding it in the race.

Do you think he might let me have an ice cream if I beat today's time?
No I didn't think so. oh well.

I am off to bed now have to be on a bus at 8:30 in the morning, which means we will have to have breakfast and leave the house by 8.10.

Nite nite

No I never got to walk the other day a little thing called Garry happened. He got me so ANGRY that I even forgot to put my trainers on so I couldn't even try to do any practice walks home.

Flip-flops are ok for just slobbing around but are dammed uncomfortable for proper walking.

I might try again on Saturday.
